1. Information you add
Billy stores the bills, payment amounts and dates, merchant names, payment account descriptions, reminder preferences, and any artwork or notes you choose to add. We use this information to show your bills and provide the features you choose. You can edit or delete it in the app.
Billy does not ask for your bank login or full payment card number, and it does not have a separate Billy account system.
2. Storage and iCloud
Your information is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, Billy uses Apple CloudKit's private database to sync your information between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. You can turn sync off in Billy's settings. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by its Privacy Policy.
Widgets and Live Activities may show summaries of your bills on your device.
3. Permissions you choose
- Notifications and alarms: used to remind you about bills when you enable them.
- Calendar and Reminders: used to create and update entries in Apple's apps when you enable those integrations.
You can change these permissions in Billy or in your device settings.
4. Services Billy uses
When iCloud sync is on, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) may send silent notifications that prompt your devices to sync changes.
For currency conversion, Billy requests exchange rates from Frankfurter using the currency pair you select. The request does not include your bill details, though Frankfurter may receive standard network information such as your IP address.
Billy uses Apple's StoreKit for purchases and subscriptions. Apple processes those transactions; Billy does not receive your payment card details. Billy does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your information.
5. Data retention and your choices
Your information stays on your device until you remove it in Billy or delete the app's stored data. If iCloud sync is on, removing Billy from one device does not automatically delete information already stored in iCloud or on your other devices. You can delete items in Billy and manage iCloud app data in your Apple Account settings.
6. Children
Billy is a general-purpose bill organizer and is not directed to children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this page as Billy changes. The effective date above shows when the policy was last updated.
